Hi,
Welcome to the blog home of Chancery Stone, cult author, porno auteuriste and art terrorist. I don’t believe in any of those titles, of course (except maybe art terrorist, which I rather like) but I believe in picking my own labels. This is where I speak my mind on all things from popular culture to God, and, of course discuss my work.
So, who am I?
Well, in addition to the above list, I am also the author of cult novel DANNY, an epic running to approximately 4,500 pages in four volumes (split into five parts).
DANNY is not the tame, cool, vanilla thrill-seeking that we have come to expect from a detached literary tradition, but the raw, graphic first-hand experience of a nightmarish addiction where sexual pleasure, revenge and rage are relentless constants.
The first volume was published in 2004 to great acclaim, and unbelievable amounts of venom. That’s how you know it’s a cult novel.
If you like controversy, subversion and a decidedly non-populist view on life then you’ll like it here. There is much on gender politics, a lot on writing and even more on things that really piss me off.
However, they are always funny, sharp and guaranteed to make you think.
